"Importanteng magtanong kung bakit."
("It is important to ask why.")
As modern-day arguments are taken into social media and the rise of what we know as internet trolls escalate, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) offers a timely new musical entitled A Game of Trolls.
It follows the life of Hector (Heck) who works at an agency that trolls and insults internet users who are against the Marcos family — the family of late President Ferdinand Marcos who declared Martial Law in the Philippines on September 1972. Led by their boss, Bimbam, the trolls provide internet users with false information to twist the Philippine history.
Inspired by true events, notable individuals who fought and were victimized by the martial law slowly come to life to tell their story. They go to Heck in fear that they will be deleted from the memories of Filipinos, especially because of the agency Heck works for.
Made especially to open the eyes of the millennials, the musical consists of modern-day slang, pop references, jokes, a funny but excruciating game show featuring the torture methods used during the Martial Law and even a FlipTop battle.

It touches the matter of family, friendship, empathy, nationalism, historical revisionism and how all these actually connect to each other.
